On June 20, the Central Talent Work Coordination Group Office issued an announcement, for publicity of the list of candidates for the second batch of leading talents of the national “Ten Thousand Talent Program” (National High-level personnel of special support program), and Guo Hongxin, chairman of Sunpower Group, was included in this list.
For the second batch of “Ten Thousand Talent Program”, 622 scientific and technological innovation leading talents, 336 scientific and technological entrepreneurship leading talents, 200 philosophy and social sciences leading talents, 98 famous teachers and 97 “Millions of Leading Engineering Talents” will be selected from relevant talents programs. Among them, the scientific and technological innovation leading talents and scientific and technological entrepreneurship leading talents will be selected from those selected in the “Innovation Talent Promotion Program”, the philosophy and social sciences leading talents from those selected as the famous cultural scholars and “four batches” of talents programs, and the millions of leading engineering talents will be selected from the national level “Millions of Leading Engineering Talents”.
 
Guo Hongxin
Doctor of engineering and professor; EMBA master of management of Tsinghua University; and an expert receiving special governmental subsidies from the State Council. He has worked as deputy director of Heat Pipe Technology Research Institute of Nanjing University of Technologies, and deputy director of National Heat Pipe Popularizing Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology; now he is the chairman of Sun Power Group, a listed company of Singapore, engaged in the research and development and industrialization of scientific and technological results of energy saving and environmental protection engineering and equipment, and he is also the director of Jiangsu (Sun Power) Industrial Energy Saving Technology Research Institute, director of Chinese Academy of Sciences Nanjing Frozen Soil Engineering Center, a specially appointed professor of the Talent Office of the Organization Department of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and MBA part-time tutor of Nanjing University.
He works for the National Torch Program and National Science and Technology Support Program, and has obtained dozens of national patents, and he also worked as the leader of the “Heat Rod Working Group of National Traffic Engineering Facilities Standardization Technical Committee”, taking the lead in formulating a number of national standards. He has received the first prize of scientific and technological progress of the State Education Commission, second prize of scientific and technological progress of the State Ministry of Education, second prize of scientific and technological progress of Jiangsu Province, the title of “model individual in innovation and entrepreneurship of Jiangsu Province” and “scientific and technological meritorious personnel of Nanjing Municipality”, and listed in the “333 Program for Talents of Jiangsu Province”.
