
The 2025 Environmental Protection Industry Conference for Coal Mines and Coal Chemical Industry & the 4th (Ordos) Exhibition and Matching Event for Environmental Technology and Equipment in Coal Mines and Coal Chemical Industry (hereinafter referred to as the "Conference") was held in Ordos from June 20 to 22. The Conference was jointly organized by Ordos Environmental Investment Co., Ltd. and China Coal Processing and Utilization Association. Guo Hongxin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sunpower Technology Group, and President of Jiangsu Province (Sunpower) Industrial Energy-Saving Technology Research Institute, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech.
At the opening ceremony, Ma Jian, Chairman of China Coal Processing and Utilization Association, presided over the event, while Liu Feng, Vice President of China National Coal Association, and Wu Qiang, Vice General Manager of Inner Mongolia Environmental Investment Group, delivered respective speeches. In his address, Wu Qiang emphasized that Inner Mongolia bears the dual mission of building a national important energy base and reinforcing the northern ecological security barrier. He noted that this Conference, gathering numerous experts and scholars to deeply discuss key issues such as the development and application of wastewater treatment technology in coal chemical industry, is destined to become a significant milestone in promoting the green revolution of the regional energy industry.

During the Conference's Forum on the Release and Transformation of New Technologies and Achievements, Chairman Guo Hongxin delivered a presentation titled "Technological Innovation Drives Green Development with Increased Production and Energy Savings in the Chemical Industry," systematically elaborating on Sunpower Technology's core R&D achievements. As a technology-based enterprise, Sunpower Technology has been committed since its establishment to providing integrated solutions through innovation in high-efficiency heat transfer technology, addressing the pain points of increasing production, saving energy, reducing emissions, and cutting carbon in high-energy-consumption industries such as petrochemicals, coal chemical industry, chemicals, LNG, metallurgy, steel, power, and new energy.
Leveraging its accumulated expertise in high-efficiency heat transfer technology, the company has innovatively developed high-efficiency special tube technology. Through the application of special material processing technology and improvements in heat transfer components and structural design, it continuously enhances the heat transfer efficiency and corrosion resistance of its equipment. Sunpower has successively completed the localized R&D of high-end integrated equipment such as LNG vaporizers, high-efficiency special tube heat exchangers, and polysilicon cold hydrogenation reactors, helping clients achieve increased production, energy savings, and enhanced efficiency.
The innovatively developed thermal superconductivity technology has been successfully applied in the project "Key Technology R&D and Application for Energy Efficient Utilization and Energy Saving & Carbon Reduction in Million kW Units of Thermal Power Plants." This project innovatively applied a series of technologies including ultra-long radial heat pipes, adopting new methods, structures, and processes. It effectively solved industry challenges such as low-temperature corrosion, equipment leakage, ash blockage, short service life, and frequent maintenance and replacement, resulting in key, original, and leading technological achievements that promote energy saving, pollution and carbon reduction, and improve energy utilization efficiency. This achievement received an appraisal evaluation from the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering as "pioneering both domestically and internationally, and internationally leading."
"Energy saving is the greatest form of environmental protection; environmental protection is a process of creating benefits; waste is merely a resource in the wrong place; and innovation is the core driver of 'cost-effective environmental protection'," Chairman Guo Hongxin pointed out in his speech. Against the backdrop of the "Dual Carbon" goals, addressing the issues of environmental pollution and energy waste in coal chemical enterprises, Sunpower Technology focuses on green technology innovation. Through continuous breakthroughs in flare gas recovery systems and technical services, and high-salinity wastewater treatment systems and technical services, it assists clients in achieving ultra-low emissions and the resource utilization of waste, truly realizing systematic carbon reduction goals and promoting the development of a circular economy. Currently, Sunpower's developed flare gas recovery system has been included in the "National Key Technology R&D Program," and the high-salinity wastewater zero-liquid-discharge system was awarded the "China Energy Investment Group Second Prize for Science and Technology." The relevant technological achievements have been widely applied in key national projects such as Sinopec and Shenhua Coal-to-Liquids projects.
Looking ahead, Sunpower Technology will continue to focus on tackling industry-specific technical challenges, deepening its layout in areas such as R&D innovation, process upgrading, and energy-saving optimization, contributing technological strength to promote the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the modern coal chemical industry.
